| When I saw that the pedestrian was paying no attention to the UP train approaching quickly to his left, I ran towards him. Again, he was looking away from the UP train, engrossed on the passing KCS train you see here. He couldn't hear the approaching train either over the din of the KCS freight. He was standing just on the KCS freight side of Track 2, and I had to pull up because I couldn't reach him in time. I stopped, yelled three times "there's a train coming." Finally, got his attention and he hauled butt, as shown in this picture. I was using a fixed focal lens, btw, so there is no zoom. |
