UP 5210 leads a train grinding up the surprisingly steep Wilson Alley grade in Shreveport. On the track to the viewer's left, you can see sand over the ties from locomotives trying to pull trains up this grade. I have seen 4 or 5 UP trains actually stall on the grade, and this freight was clearly working hard to make it up the grade. |
